Precor 546

The Precor EFX 546 Version 2 was the upgraded incarnation of the Version 1. While it remained a plug in model, the display housing was upgraded to a plastic “Touch Sensitive” display which allowed the user to enter commands just by touching the plastic face, reducing wear on the keypad. Hand held heart rate was added to the handlebars to allow the user to be able to monitor their heart rate simply by grabbing the sensors. Telemetry heart rate remained available to the user with the use of a chest strap. All other aspects of the machine remained the same as the previous version offering adjustable cross ramp and smooth drive operation.

The biggest difference in the newer more refined model other than esthetics is the heat sensitive display consol and the contact heart rate grips that come standard with the version 2. It also has smoother more laterally controlled elliptical stride. This has been achieved by the double wheels and v-shaped cross ramp re-design. This elliptical allows you to stride smoothly while holding the handrails or moving your arms in natural sync, with or without hand weights. The exclusive, electronically adjustable Cross Ramp lets you change the slope of the stride with the touch of a key to vary muscle emphasis.
